Riverwalk Run Kid's Fun Run
Start time is 8:15 am on March 20th so don’t be left behind!
The racecourse begins at Huizenga plaza on Las Olas and is a ½ mile loop. Runners may run once for the ½ mile race or twice if they want to go the full mile. The course will be well lined with parents and volunteers to guide the student runners through the course and to cheer them on as they race.
Registration for the race is at the Kid’s Run registration tables on race day from 7:00 am – 8:00 am. Parents can register their kids online for $10 or on race day for $15. This race is limited to kids ages 12 and under.

Every racer will receive a Kid’s Fun run t-shirt, a medal for crossing the finish line and a post race treat. Won’t it be fun to wear your t-shirt and medal to school on Monday after the race to show off your accomplishment?
Annual Riverwalk Kid’s Fun Run Kid’s Cup Team Competition
This year, we will be registering teams for the Kid’s Fun Run. Each team registered will automatically be entered into the annual Kid’s Cup Team Competition. A race day host will be available just for your team to organize everyone and give you the best race day possible. The team with the most runners registered for the race will be crowned this year’s winner of the Riverwalk Run Kid’s Cup on stage in front of thousands of race attendants.
The winning team will receive:
- The three foot tall Kid’s Cup trophy for the 2010 winner and the honor of displaying the trophy for one whole year. The trophy will rotate annually from team to team and become a source of pride, showing a strong commitment to fitness.
- A framed group picture of your winning team
- A featured spot on our website
- Recognition in our newsletter going out to hundreds of families in Broward County.
The top three SCHOOL teams will receive the “Healthfully Ever After” 2nd grade literature based nutrition curriculum kit that is currently being implemented in the Broward County Public Schools.
We hope that each team member will wear a t-shirt representing the team for which they are running. It is a great advertising opportunity as well as a way to show your team spirit.

In order to beat the lines on race day, we can send you the registration form for you to give to each of your team members to bring with them on race day. Registration forms will also be available on-site race day.
So put on your running shoes and come out on race day to support your health, your community and the many projects of the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale!
Kid's In the Kitchen Post Race Treat
After the kids cross the finish line they will make their own yummy healthy treat as part of the Junior League’s Kids in the Kitchen program.
It’s always hard to keep the adult runners away from this one!
